    10 days Morocco Tour

    Here’s the plan. Feel free to customise it to match your interests.

    Day 1: Casablanca -> Rabat

    Welcome to Morocco! Your 10 day Morocco itinerary from Casablanca kicks off with a warm welcome at Mohammed V International Airport by your friendly local guide.

    Our first stop is the magnificent Hassan II Mosque — marvel at its intricate tilework, exquisite marble carvings, and the awe-inspiring ocean backdrop. Its minaret is among the tallest in the world.

    Next, we head to Rabat, the vibrant capital, to explore the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas, both offering a glimpse into Morocco’s rich heritage. At the end of the day, we escort you to your accommodation in Rabat to unwind and prepare for the adventures ahead.

    If you arrive at night, we’ll take you straight to your Casablanca hotel so you can rest and recharge before the tour begins the next day.

    Day 2: Rabat -> Chefchaouen

    Start with a delightful breakfast before an exciting journey to Chefchaouen, an enchanting town in the Rif Mountains. The scenic four-hour drive offers a tapestry of rolling hills, charming villages, and breathtaking landscapes.

    On arrival, check in at your hotel/riad and enjoy some leisure time to explore the maze-like streets painted in mesmerising shades of blue. Wander the narrow alleys of the Medina, engage with the vibrant souks where local artisans showcase their craftsmanship, or unwind at a charming café or restaurant serving authentic Moroccan cuisine. Bring your camera to capture the remarkable sights at every turn.

    Day 3: Chefchaouen -> Volubilis -> Meknes -> Fes

    After a yummy breakfast at your riad, we begin with a picturesque drive through enchanting Rif villages and the idyllic countryside before arriving at Volubilis, once a Roman city.

    Explore the ruins and learn the fascinating history — Volubilis is known for well-preserved mosaics and grand public buildings dating back to the 3rd century. Next, we head to Meknes, once Morocco’s capital in the 17th century. After lunch, delve into the Medina, home to the magnificent Bab el Mansour gate with its intricate designs and breathtaking carvings, and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.

    After a day of exploration, we continue to Fes, where a splendid riad awaits for a restful night.

    Day 4: Guided full-day tour of Fes

    Today, with our friendly local guide, immerse yourself in the rich history and lively culture of Fes, one of Morocco’s most significant cities.

    We start at the magnificent golden gate of the Royal Palace, then venture into the labyrinthine streets of the old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting iconic landmarks such as Al-Qarawiyyin University, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the Chouara Tanneries.

    We then explore the Jewish quarter (the Mellah) to learn about the history of the Jewish community in Fes, and finish at an ancient fortress with a panoramic view of the Medina and the whole city. As the day ends, we return to your riad.

    Day 5: Fes -> Ifrane -> Middle Atlas Mountains -> Ziz Valley -> Merzouga desert

    Get ready for a fabulous day travelling from Fes to the peaceful Merzouga desert. After breakfast, we set off on an authentic desert experience.

    Our first stop is the charming city of Ifrane to soak in the serene atmosphere, then we traverse the breathtaking Middle Atlas Mountains. We stop in a cedar forest to watch the playful Barbary macaques in their natural habitat, then enjoy a delicious lunch at a carefully selected restaurant.

    Continuing on, we drive along the enchanting Ziz Valley with its lush palm oasis. In the afternoon, we arrive at the mesmerising Merzouga desert for an authentic camel caravan across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, we pause atop a high dune for a truly awe-inspiring sunset.

    As twilight falls, we reach a luxurious desert camp and your private tent. Freshen up and relax before a delectable dinner of traditional cuisine. Gather around the bonfire under the star-studded sky while the camp staff entertain you with lively drumming and Berber music — and you can learn to play the drums yourself.

    Day 6: Immersive exploration of the Merzouga desert

    Rise early to catch a stunning sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, choose between a camel ride or a thrilling 4×4 journey to the town of Merzouga.

    Embark on an adventure-filled day, starting in the town of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music, performed by local musicians whose origins trace to southern Africa. Let the unique rhythms transport you to a world of cultural richness.

    Continuing on, we navigate off-road to M’Fis, an abandoned village once bustling with galena mines (galena is a mineral once used to make mascara). Explore the remnants and trace the footsteps of the miners who once worked there.

    Next, we visit a nomadic family living near the Erg Chebbi dunes, who have embraced a traditional lifestyle far from modern society. Join them in their Berber tents for a warm cup of tea while learning about their customs and way of life.

    After lunch, we take you to a beautiful riad, where you can relax and swim in the pool. In the late afternoon, you can go quad biking or buggy driving to enjoy the sunset, or take a tranquil stroll to the dunes. The day ends with a delightful dinner and a cosy night in your riad.

    Day 7: Merzouga desert -> Rissani -> Todra Gorge -> Dades Gorge

    After a delicious breakfast at your riad, we start a fascinating trip to the beautiful Dades Gorge.

    Along the way, explore the lively traditional market in Rissani, which comes alive on market days (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Take a relaxed walk through its bustling streets, enjoying the vibrant colours, pleasant smells, and lively sounds.

    As we venture further, be amazed by the incredible Todra Gorge, where you can admire the Todra River amidst stunning views. Continuing towards the Dades Gorge, witness the astonishing rock formations resembling monkey fingers, then enjoy a scenic drive through the Dades Valley with panoramic views before reaching your hotel for a calm, restful night.

    Day 8: Dades Gorge -> Ouarzazate -> Ait Ben Haddou -> High Atlas Mountains -> Marrakech

    Today, we journey towards Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa” and “Gateway to the Desert,” where you can visit the Atlas Studios, Morocco’s largest film studio, and step into the fascinating world of moviemaking.

    After the studios, we head to the enchanting Ait Ben Haddou to visit its famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site seen in films like Gladiator and Indiana Jones and the series Game of Thrones. Stroll through its ancient alleyways, admiring the detailed architecture and rich history.

    After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, we continue through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, pausing to appreciate the breathtaking views. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Marrakech and check into a charming riad in the heart of the Medina. Tonight, enjoy dinner at your riad or at a restaurant on the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square.

    Day 9: Guided tour of Marrakech

    Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your riad. Our friendly local guide meets you to show you the best of Marrakech, sharing interesting stories about famous places such as Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the Koutoubia Mosque.

    After lunch, visit the modern part of Marrakech and the beautiful Majorelle Garden, or return to your riad to relax.

    In the late afternoon, walk to the famous Jemaa el-Fna Square. Enjoy a drink at one of the rooftop restaurants and soak up the lively atmosphere while watching a stunning sunset over Marrakech. You can also have dinner here before heading back to your riad.
