Day 1: Tangier -> Chefchaouen
Your 5-day Morocco tour from Tangier begins with a warm welcome at Tangier airport, one of the Tangier ports, or your hotel, by your friendly local guide.
Next, we head to the enchanting town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the beautiful Rif Mountains of northern Morocco. On arrival, check into your comfortable hotel/riad and explore the city and its iconic blue-painted streets. Take a leisurely walk through the narrow streets, visit the lively markets, or unwind at one of the cosy cafés and restaurants serving authentic Moroccan cuisine.
After a day of exploration, spend the night in a delightful riad/hotel, relaxing and soaking in the serene atmosphere — a memorable end to your day in Chefchaouen.
Day 2: Chefchaouen -> Fes
Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at your riad as you prepare for an enchanting journey to Fes.
On arrival in Fes, a knowledgeable local guide is eager to showcase the wonders of this medieval city. Explore its historic streets, immerse yourself in its rich history, and admire the stunning architecture. You can savour a delicious lunch in the bustling Medina, relishing the authentic flavours and aromas of local cuisine.
After a fulfilling day of discovery, unwind at a charming riad in the heart of the Fes Medina — a tranquil retreat amidst the lively city. Take some time to relax and soak in the allure of Fes, making yourself at home for the night.
Day 3: Fes -> Ifrane -> Middle Atlas Mountains -> Ziz Valley -> Merzouga desert
After a delightful breakfast at your riad in Fes, we embark on an unforgettable desert trip heading south towards Merzouga and the magical Erg Chebbi dunes. Along the way, we stop in the picturesque city of Ifrane to relax and take in the scenic beauty.
Continuing our drive, we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop at a cedar forest, where you can observe Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. We then enjoy a satisfying lunch at a restaurant along the route.
As we move forward, we enter the mesmerising Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm oasis. Admire the stunning landscape before reaching the desert. In the afternoon, we arrive and your authentic camel caravan begins across the enchanting dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping to watch a breathtaking sunset from a high dune.
Continuing your camel trek, you arrive at a luxury camp, where you’re escorted to your private tent to relax and freshen up. As evening descends, enjoy a tasty dinner showcasing local cuisine. Gather around a cosy bonfire beneath the starlit sky, where the camp team entertain you with lively drumming and traditional Berber music — and you can try your hand at the drums yourself.
Day 4: Merzouga desert -> Rissani -> Todra Gorge -> Dades Valley
An early wake-up is highly recommended to catch a stunning sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After a delicious breakfast, you can opt for a camel ride or take a 4×4 to Merzouga, where your guide/driver is ready for the next leg to the Dades Valley.
Along the way, explore captivating spots like the vibrant market in Rissani (on a market day — Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), and enjoy a leisurely walk through the awe-inspiring Todra Gorge with breathtaking views of the Todra River.
As we progress towards the Dades Gorge, be spellbound by the extraordinary rock formations known as monkey fingers. The scenic drive along the Dades Valley presents panoramic vistas of the gorges before arriving at your accommodation. Unwind in comfort at a charming hotel for a restful night.
Day 5: Dades Valley -> Ouarzazate -> Ait Ben Haddou -> High Atlas Mountains -> Marrakech
On the last day of your 5 day Tangier to Marrakech tour, our first stop is Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa” and the “Gateway to the Desert.” You can optionally visit the Atlas Studios, Morocco’s largest film studio, to explore iconic movie sets and get a glimpse into the world of filmmaking.
After the studios, we journey to Ait Ben Haddou to tour its Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in numerous films such as The Mummy and Prince of Persia. Take your time to admire the detailed architecture and rich decoration of this historic site.
After a delightful lunch, we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains, enjoying breathtaking landscape views along the way. As the afternoon winds down, we arrive in Marrakech, concluding your 5 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
