Day 1: Marrakech -> High Atlas Mountains -> Ait Ben Haddou -> Dades Valley
Your tour begins with a warm welcome at Marrakech airport or your hotel/riad. Our local guide leads you through the whole trip.
We drive through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains, with awe-inspiring views along the route. We’ll stop in Ait Ben Haddou to tour the Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in films like The Mummy and Prince of Persia — take your time to admire its architecture.
After lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa” and “Gateway to the Desert,” where you can explore Atlas Studios, Morocco’s largest film studio.
We then head to the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the “monkey fingers” rock formations. Enjoy the scenic drive with panoramic views of the gorges before reaching your charming hotel for a restful night.
Day 2: Dades Valley -> Todra Canyon -> Merzouga desert
Start with breakfast before a picturesque drive along the Todra River, surrounded by palm groves and Berber villages, to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorge in Tinghir. From there we continue to the Merzouga desert.
On the way to the Erg Chebbi dunes, your driver/guide may recommend a traditional Berber shop, where you can try on a Berber outfit for a free photo session. Any purchase (scarves for the desert) is optional — just tell your guide to skip it if you prefer.
Arriving in Merzouga, ride a camel into the desert to watch the breathtaking sunset over the dunes and try sandboarding. Then retreat to a luxury desert camp for a delicious dinner and the magic of the Sahara’s starry night.
Day 3: Merzouga desert -> Ziz Valley -> Middle Atlas Mountains -> Ifrane -> Fes
An early start catches the breathtaking sunrise over Erg Chebbi’s dunes. After breakfast, choose a camel ride or a 4×4 back towards Merzouga, then continue your journey to Fes.
We’ll make several stops, including the scenic Ziz Valley, a cedar forest near Azrou where you might spot Barbary macaques, and the picturesque town of Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco.”
By late afternoon we reach Fes. Check into your hotel or riad in the historic Medina for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 4: Explore Fes -> Chefchaouen
Start with breakfast at your riad before exploring Fes, followed by a drive to Chefchaouen.
Our knowledgeable local Fes guide and driver meet you at your riad for a tour of the Medina — its historic streets, rich history, and stunning architecture. You’ll also enjoy lunch in the vibrant Medina.
In the afternoon, we journey to Chefchaouen, the “blue pearl of Morocco.” Relax at a charming riad in the heart of the town, a peaceful retreat where you can soak in the atmosphere and enjoy a comfortable night’s rest.
Day 5: Explore Chefchaouen -> Tangier / Fes / Casablanca / Marrakech
Start with breakfast at your riad. In the morning, explore the charming town of Chefchaouen, known for its blue-washed buildings — stroll the narrow streets, browse the markets, or relax at a cosy café serving authentic Moroccan dishes.
In the afternoon, we head to Tangier and drop you at the airport, port, or your hotel, concluding your Marrakech to Chefchaouen tour. You can also choose to end the tour in Fes, Casablanca, or back in Marrakech.
